Purpose / Objective:
The Planning Engineer is responsible for the effective execution of all maintenance work with efficient and effective use of planning all the resources to conduct maintenance activities which result in minimum downtime and maximum productivity. To fulfil these responsibilities in the most effective manner, the Planning Engineer is empowered to manage work priority, develop job plans, define parts and material, define crafts and skills, and engage the proper resources to develop a safe, effective, and efficient work control plan.
Key Accountabilities:
- Establish strong working relationships with interdepartmental peer group.
- Develop maintenance plans and schedules in a cost-effective manner.
- Define parts and materials by developing and updating equipment Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Provide input regarding improvement opportunities and areas o
f risk.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements (including Company Policy, Standards, and Procedures)
- Encourage and facilitate effective and supportive communication between all team members and related departments
- Demonstrate personal commitment regarding safety and environmental and Social Responsibility practices.
