Senior Video Editor with Motion Design Skills (TSS)

Responsibilities:

Video Editing:

• Selecting, cutting, and editing video materials for various formats (social media, TV, web).
• Creating dynamic and engaging video sequences using professional editing techniques.
• Handling large volumes of raw footage: organizing projects, structuring materials, and identifying key moments for effective storytelling.
• Developing visually and structurally cohesive editing solutions, including seamless transitions and precise cuts.
• Adjusting the pace, rhythm, and dynamics of video sequences to enhance emotional impact and deliver the intended message.
• Utilizing advanced editing techniques to create smooth transitions, accents, and composition solutions (e.g., match-cut, jump-cut, L-cut/J-cut).
• Working with multi-layer timelines, incorporating graphics, soundtracks, animations, and special effects.

Sound Design:

• Understanding the basics of sound storytelling: creating a sound atmosphere for videos.
• Selecting and integrating sound effects (e.g., movement sounds, clicks, ambient noises).
• Synchronizing audio with video materials, including dialogues, music tracks, and sound effects.

Color Grading:

• Performing professional color grading to ensure a consistent visual style and quality.
• Utilizing DaVinci Resolve tools.
• Applying LUT profiles, working with curves and HSL tools for precise color adjustments.
• Preparing materials for various platforms while adhering to their color standards.

Motion Design:

• Developing basic 2D/3D animations and text effects for integration into video content.
• Animating graphic elements such as logos, text overlays, and infographics.
• Adding visual effects (VFX) to enhance video dynamics (e.g., flares, particles).
• Integrating motion graphics into the overall video sequence to create a polished product.

Optimization and Export:

• Preparing projects for rendering and ensuring compatibility across different platforms.
• Exporting materials in required formats for social media, TV, and web, adhering to technical specifications.

General Responsibilities:

• Working with references to develop editing and graphic solutions based on assigned tasks.
• Generating ideas for creating expressive and memorable video projects.
• Participating in team and client discussions on concepts.
• Collaborating with colleagues, graphic designers, motion designers, and clients to achieve optimal results.
• Engaging in reviews and implementing feedback.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of professional video editing experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with animation and motion design.
• Proficiency in professional color grading and creating a unified visual style.
• A portfolio showcasing completed projects.

Technical Skills:

• Adobe Premiere Pro: Expert-level proficiency, including multi-layer timeline management.
• Color Grading: Confident use of DaVinci Resolve.
• Adobe After Effects: Solid understanding for creating animation and graphics.
• Graphics and Design: Basic proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator for working with graphic elements.
• Knowledge of Cinema 4D or similar tools is a plus but not mandatory.
