Job Summary:

The Country Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of DeFacto's operations in Kazakhstan, driving sales, profitability, and brand development. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong understanding of the Kazakh retail market and a proven track record of achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Management Adaptation: Oversee the adaptation and execution of product strategies for the Kazakh market.
  • Store Network Optimization: Implement store clustering, tiering and grading strategies to optimize the store network performance.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market mix requirements and conduct thorough competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Regional Strategy: Develop and execute strategies that account for regional differences in consumer behavior and market dynamics.
  • Product Localization (Ornegin Product Tarafinda): Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure product offerings are appropriate for the local market.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive country strategy to achieve sales and profitability targets.

  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities, staying ahead of industry trends and competitor activities.

  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to the country team.

Sales and Operations Management:

  • Oversee the performance of all retail stores and e-commerce operations in Kazakhstan.

  • Optimize store operations, inventory management, and customer service to maximize sales and efficiency.

  • Monitor and analyze sales data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Business Development:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including landlords, suppliers, and government officials.

Team Management:

  • Brand Development and Marketing:

    • Work in collaboration with the marketing team, to ensure the marketing strategy of the country aligns with overall company goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role within the retail industry, preferably in the fashion sector.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales and profitability targets in the Kazakh market.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent understanding of the Kazakh retail landscape, including consumer behavior and market trends.

  • Fluency in English and Russian, Kazakh language. Turkish is a plus.
