Social Media Manager Intern

Due to active growth and ambitious plans, we are now looking for an Social Media Manager Intern to strengthen our team. Our HQ is in Malta, but this is a fully remote position at the beginning as our team is decentralized.

• You’re a strong communicator, capable of staying in-character while engaging with online personalities and communities.

What you do

Daily Responsibilities:

• Writing and posting daily content (multiple tweets per day) from character accounts;

• Engaging with influencers, brands, and players in-character;

• Tracking trending topics and memes and integrating them into content in real time;

• Updating trend tracking tables and noting performance metrics for each post.

Weekly Responsibilities:

• Run at least 2 experimental content hypotheses to test tone, content, or format;

• Report on performance: what gained traction and what didn’t;

• Update the Notion board with creative ideas and inspiration;

• Suggest fun crossover concepts or ideas for character collaborations.

Monthly Responsibilities:

• Deliver a performance report with data-driven insights;

• Participate in team brainstorming sessions to refine or evolve character voices;

• Assist in exploring and expanding into other platforms like Discord or Instagram.

What you know

• Deep familiarity with social media culture, meme trends, and internet slang;

• Passion for video games and storytelling; someone who can get into character and channel the personality of in-game figures;

• Prior experience running or managing Twitter/X accounts—especially character-based or meme-oriented accounts—is preferred but not mandatory.

Technical Skills:

• Basic understanding of social media operations and algorithms;

• Willingness to learn analytical tools (e.g., Tweet Scout) and the ability to work with metrics to evaluate campaign performance.

Tools Proficiency:

• Familiarity with planning tools (Notion, Jira, Trello, Google Trends) Comfortable with analytics tools (e.g., TweetDeck, X Analytics, Google Trends).

Additional Requirements:

• Advanced English proficiency for effective communication with international partners;

• Gamer mindset: you play games, follow gaming communities, and understand gaming humor.
