Senior Manager / Manager to Special Financing Department
Senior Manager of the Special Financing Department is responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate clients, addressing their specific financing needs, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves structuring tailored financial solutions, conducting thorough due diligence (including KYC and credit analysis), and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
Key responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, with a focus on identifying and structuring bespoke financing solutions in line with business needs.
Conduct detailed analysis of clients’ financial statements, business models, and industry trends to support credit decisions.
Ensure timely and thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews and ongoing client due diligence in compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Structure and prepare credit proposals, financing memos, and term sheets in coordination with product and risk departments.
Monitor portfolio performance and proactively address early warning signs, delinquency risks, and covenant breaches.
Coordinate with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to ensure efficient and compliant execution of transactions.
Support the onboarding of new clients and ensure all documentation and credit approvals are properly maintained.
Work closely with Relationship Managers and senior stakeholders to develop and cross-sell additional banking products and services.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, regulations, and banking products to provide informed advice to clients.
Qualification requirements and education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certification such as CFA, ACCA is an advantage).
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in a Corporate Banking or Special Financing/Structured Finance role.
Proven track record of managing a diverse portfolio of corporate clients and developing tailored financial solutions.
Strong knowledge of credit analysis, financial modeling, and structuring of corporate financing.
Excellent understanding of KYC, AML, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
High level of business acumen and commercial awareness.
Proficiency in preparing credit proposals, term sheets, and financial presentations.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team under tight deadlines
