- Responsible for the daily planning and execution of the assigned vessel voyages. Coordination vis-à-vis all involved;
- parties both internally and externally in accordance with our established best practices and company policies;

Keeping Customers’ updated and “nursing” the commercial relationship in close coordination with the Chartering dept.;
- Overall accountable for each voyage incl. the documentation of voyage results;

Daily planning and coordination of voyages, load & discharge operations and stowage plans. Checking bunkers requirement, cargo intakes, itineraries and all other matters having an impact on the respective voyage;

Instructions shall be sent in accordance with the prevailing terms & conditions and “best practices“, and closely coordinated with the responsible Supercargo and Chartering individuals;

Agents shall be nominated and appointed in accordance with instructions received. Ensure daily follow-up on cargo operations and prospects.

Calculate bunkers requirements and arrange replenishment in accordance with standing instructions and in close coordination between the Vessel’s Command and associated departments ashore;

Keeping Customer’s updated and tendering notices as per agreed terms;

Ensure all required instructions pertaining to the cargo documents (e.g. Bills of Lading, Manifests, Mate’s Receipts etc.) are made in due time;

Calculate Demurrage, Detention and Dead-freight for the assigned voyages. Ensure the voyage handling system is updated with relevant details and costs for port, cargo and bunkers;

Notify insurance re. delivery/re-delivery of vessels. Arrange for security guards for the relevant geographical areas and coordinate additional war risk coverage and/or P&I coverage where required. Notify and coordinate any claims with Legal dept.

higher professional education, maritime management or navigation education;
- maritime working diploma and experience of working on bulk carriers as a navigator or experience of working as an operator, post fixer in tramp shipping;
