About the Role
We’re looking for a senior-level SysOps Engineer with deep Linux expertise who is passionate about creating reliable, scalable infrastructure. While our current stack heavily features on-prem infrastructure (Linux, bare-metal, virtualization, networking), we’re actively moving toward a hybrid/cloud environment (AWS/Kubernetes).
Your role is vital: ensuring the resilience, security, and scalability of systems critical to our global operations. You’ll influence our infrastructure strategy, automate processes, and play a key part in our evolution toward modern DevOps and SRE practices.
What You’ll Do:
• Design, implement, and manage robust on-prem and hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Administer Linux-based servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu), virtualization, and networks
• Configure VPNs, firewalls, and internal network services (NGINX, HAProxy)
• Deploy and maintain Kubernetes clusters and related networking components
• Implement infrastructure automation using Ansible and Bash scripting (Python as a plus)
• Ensure high-availability and disaster recovery for databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Minio)
• Maintain and enhance monitoring solutions (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch)
• Document infrastructure clearly (Wiki, Google Docs) to facilitate team collaboration
What We Expect From You:
• 3+ years of Linux administration experience (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP networking at L2/L3/L7 levels
• Strong experience configuring NGINX, HAProxy, Kubernetes Ingress
• Basic experience with databases and message queues (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Minio)
• Experience with monitoring and log management systems (Zabbix, ELK/OpenSearch)
• Strong Bash scripting skills for automation, Python scripting as a plus
• Experience with AWS infrastructure deployment and security policy management (huge plus)
• Willingness to learn and actively contribute
• Proactive, ownership-driven approach with strong documentation habits
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
• Experience writing SELinux policies
• Familiarity with Kubernetes/Rancher
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines with GitLab
• Knowledge of mesh networking and network diagnostics
• Basic experience in routing and firewall scripting with IPTables
• Administration of XCP-ng hypervisors (Citrix Hypervisor)
• Understanding of information security principles, familiarity with Greenbone/Suricata
