Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing:
Identify and source metal concentrates from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers in the region.
- Negotiation:
Facilitate negotiations with suppliers, representing the company’s interests.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment during negotiations.
- Logistics Management:
Oversee the logistics for the transport of materials to China.
Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping companies to ensure timely delivery.
- Risk Management:
Assess and minimize performance and credit risks associated with suppliers.
Implement strategies to mitigate potential supplier-related issues.
- Performance Monitoring:
Monitor production status and contractual performance post-contract signing.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and address any discrepancies.
Requirements:
- Experience:
Experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management in the metal or mining industry.
Familiarity with the Central Asian market is highly desirable.
- Skills:
Developing new sources and reporting properly.
Negotiation and communication skills following to Headquarters’ instructions.
Logistics management and risk assessment.
Ability to analyze suppliers’ performance and background.
Skilled in computer usage.
Fluent in Russian and English
