Transport Operations Expert

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, and shipping.
• Monitor stock movements and ensure accurate accounting of inventory in ERP/WMS systems.
• Conduct inventory counts, analyze discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards in warehouse operations.
• Develop and implement KPIs to assess warehouse performance.
• Establish KPIs and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for courier and freight forwarding service providers.
• Analyze logistics processes and initiate improvements and automation measures.
• Collaborate with Sales, Production, and Accounting departments.
• Manage interactions with external partners — warehouses, marketplaces, and delivery services.
• Prepare analytical and performance reports for courier, transport, and warehouse operations.
• Optimize storage and transportation costs.
• Prepare required documentation and support materials.
• Handle claims and complaints related to logistics operations.
• Research courier and freight forwarding markets, identify new service providers.
• Prepare tender documentation, run tenders, and support the contracting process for courier and transport services.
• Monitor legislation and compliance in the courier and freight forwarding sectors.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of international courier service providers and tracking systems.
• Understanding of foreign postal service operations and tracking schemes.
• Solid grasp of warehouse processes and inventory management.
• Proven experience in e-commerce logistics, including courier and postal deliveries.
• Experience conducting tenders, negotiating freight forwarding contracts, and developing KPI frameworks for logistics partners.
• Experience in market research, analytics, and reporting for logistics or transportation services.
• Skilled in business process analysis and optimization.
• Familiarity with aggregator platforms (e.g., Easyship, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with ERP and WMS systems.
• University degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
• English proficiency: Upper-Intermediate or higher.
