The Governance & Controls (G&C) Manager is accountable for establishing and maintaining robust internal controls and processes across the business segment of PN Central Eurasia. This role serves as a strategic business partner to stakeholders across the organization, aiming to design and implement an effective, efficient internal control framework in a dynamic and evolving environment. Key responsibilities include embedding digital tools and automation in control monitoring, identifying potential control gaps, and supporting the development of mitigation strategies.
The G&C Manager collaborates closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including the Pet Nutrition & Petcare Controllership team, PN CEA Associates, Smart Financial Operations, internal audit, and PwC.
The position reports to the CFO, PN Central Eurasia and maintains a dotted-line reporting relationship to RGM Controller.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Provide leadership and expertise in creating and maintaining a secure internal control environment, ensuring appropriate segregation of duties. Act as a role model for ethics, integrity, and trust, including the proactive identification of and response to fraud and theft.
- Oversee the implementation of the internal controls framework, including the design and execution of the controls testing plan, remediation of ICE gaps, and co-leadership of the G&C agenda alongside the PN CEA CFO.
- Establish and maintain the structure for monitoring and reviewing Governance & Controls Scorecard KPIs, including facilitation of quarterly G&C reviews and Q08 reporting.
- Collaborate with finance and non-finance stakeholders across the organization to evaluate risk exposure and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
- Coordinate internal audit activities across the Cluster, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring readiness and alignment.
- Serve as an advocate for a strong control culture within Pet Nutrition, promoting awareness, accessibility, and a safe and trusted working environment. Ensure compliance with control, reporting, governance, and statutory obligations.
- Provide governance leadership for special projects, business transformations, and ad hoc initiatives.
