Henkel is seeking a Packaging Specialist to join the Research & Development Department at the Almaty office.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the packaging portfolio for Central Asia & Caucasus, Henkel Consumer Brands (packaging specifications, technical drawing, palletization schemes, products article reports, packaging overviews and workflows).
  • Main contact for LMU, Purchasing and Production to provide packaging expertise and documentation (artworks approval, packaging solutions consultations, technical communication with pack.suppliers).
  • Steering and execution of packaging related production trials and tests (contact to local Contract Manufacturers for all packaging related inquiries, testing and production trials).
  • Competitors check and monitoring of local packaging solutions (regular monitoring and reporting of competitors products and new packaging items in the market of CAC).
  • Localization of packaging materials and solutions (close collaboration with local packaging suppliers and leading the localization packaging materials).
  • Participation to continuous optimization of packaging costs and packaging related production (leading the saving initiatives to optimize the costs of packaging materials used in CAC portfolio).
  • Research and Improve product packaging quality (participate in measures identifying the reasons of FG and Pack. Materials quality issues and quality improvement).
  • Support of production maintenance (participate in measures for all kind of production maintenance activities, impacting packaging).
  • Providing ready packaging solutions for standard and promotion products (support Local Marketing with participation in Promotions by offering relevant packaging solutions).

Requirements:

  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience (in FMCG Company in Packaging (R&D or Operations)).
  • Higher Education (a Bachelor’s degree is a requirement), preferably in Chemistry/Material/Process or Mechanical engineering/Food technology area.

  • Fluent English.
