We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant (1:1 Student Support). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality individualised support to a designated student, helping to ensure their academic, social, and emotional development.
Start date: August 2026

Responsibilities:
- Support the student with visual impairment in accessing lesson content across all subjects in an English-medium learning environment
- Assist the student in navigation, organisation, and self-management of support needs
- Assist the student in participating fully in wider school life, including enrichment activities.
- Support the use of assistive technology such as laptops, screen readers, speech-to-text tools, and accessible platforms
- Liaise with teachers to ensure lesson resources are provided in advance for adaptation
- Assist with note-taking, organisation and adaptation of learning materials
Requeirments:
Essential
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), preferably visual impairment
- Strong spoken and written English
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and specialist staff
- Understanding of inclusive education and student-centred support
- Confidence using educational technology and willingness to learn assistive technology systems
- Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Patient, proactive, and able to promote student independence rather than dependency
Desirable
- Knowledge of visual impairment support strategies in educational settings
- Experience in an international school or English-medium school environment
- Relevant qualifications in education, SEND, or learning support.
