Middle DevOps Engineer

Unical is an IT outsourcing company that has been delivering reliable and scalable software solutions for businesses for over 5 years. As we continue to grow and expand our engineering team, we are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to help build, automate, and maintain our infrastructure and deployment processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) servers

• Design and support infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Deploy and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes

• Configure, maintain, replicate, back up, and optimize MongoDB databases

• Deploy and support Node.js microservices in production environments

• Implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions (Grafana, APM tools, etc.)

• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines

• Manage networking components, including DNS, VPN, Firewall, SSL, Reverse Proxy, and Load Balancing

• Administer VMware ESXi and Kerio Control environments

• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and security best practices

• Ensure system reliability, scalability, performance, and security

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a DevOps or SRE role

• Strong knowledge of Linux administration (Ubuntu/Debian)

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with MongoDB configuration, replication, backup, and performance optimization

• Experience deploying and supporting Node.js services

• Experience with Grafana and APM/monitoring tools

• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar tools

• Solid understanding of networking concepts: DNS, VPN, Firewall, SSL, Reverse Proxy, and Load Balancing

• Experience with VMware ESXi and Kerio Control

• Knowledge of backup strategies, disaster recovery, and information security practices

• Ability to read and understand technical documentation in English

Nice to Have

• Experience with Terraform and Ansible

• Experience with Elasticsearch / ELK Stack

• Experience managing high-load production systems

• GCP, Kubernetes, or Linux certifications
