Central Asian University (CAU) - one of the fastest growing private university in Uzbekistan. CAU is looking for Helpdesk Technician to provide first-line IT support to university staff, faculty, and students.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to students, faculty, and staff via telegram bot ticketing system, phone, and in-person.
• Perform basic LAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting; setup and maintain printers, scanners, and multifunction devices.
• Set up and support classroom and meeting-room equipment (displays, HDMI, webcams, microphones) and provide IT setup for events.
• Log and track Helpdesk bot requests; assist with IT inventory management and equipment relocation.
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Windows PCs, laptops, peripherals, and required software (including Microsoft 365, email, and user accounts).
• Route complex network, server, security, and infrastructure issues to specialized IT teams.

Requirements:

Education

• Technical education in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Recent graduates with good practical IT skills are welcome to apply.

Work experience

• Previous IT support experience is an advantage but not required.
• Candidates without professional experience may be considered if they demonstrate good practical computer and troubleshooting skills.

Hard Skills

• Good knowledge of Windows 10/11.
• Ability to install software, drivers, and peripheral devices.
• Basic computer hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Basic knowledge of LAN, Wi-Fi, IP addresses, DHCP, and DNS.
• Basic understanding of user accounts and Active Directory.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
• Ability to install and troubleshoot printers and scanners.
• Ability to troubleshoot common Internet and network connectivity problems.
• Basic understanding of classroom and meeting-room IT equipment.

Soft skills

• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Responsible and punctual.
• Patient when working with users.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to solve problems independently and ask for assistance when necessary.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Desirable Criteria

• Hands-on experience with computer troubleshooting or IT support.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, or network printers
• Basic knowledge of enterprise Wi-Fi/network environments.
• Familiarity with Helpdesk or ticketing systems.
