ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator / Quantity Takeoff Specialist to support estimating and bidding for construction projects in the United States. You will review U.S. architectural, structural, and civil drawings; prepare accurate quantity takeoffs; organize scope information; and help our U.S.-based team produce timely, competitive bids. This role is well suited to a candidate with a civil engineering, architecture, construction management, or related background who wants long-term experience working on U.S. construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
> Review construction drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents in English.
> Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for assigned scopes of work.
> Measure and calculate quantities for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted work.
> Prepare and update estimates using Excel and estimating/takeoff software.
> Identify drawing discrepancies, missing information, scope gaps, and potential bid risks.
> Prepare clarification questions and RFIs for the estimating team.
> Organize bid documents, subcontractor quotations, vendor pricing, and scope-comparison sheets.
> Assist with bid proposals, budget estimates, and internal cost summaries.
> Maintain accurate project files, takeoff sheets, and estimate revisions.
> Coordinate daily with U.S.-based estimating and project teams.
Required Qualifications- Degree or practical background in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, cost estimation, drafting, or project engineering.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, tables, filters, and organized cost worksheets.
- Experience with, or willingness to quickly learn, estimating/takeoff software such as Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, StackCT, Autodesk Takeoff, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
- English proficiency at strong B2 to C1 level, including the ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and written instructions.
- Russian at conversational level is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, time management, and ability to meet bid deadlines.
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work the assigned evening/night shift.
- 6:00 p.m.-3:00 a.m. Tashkent time, Monday-Saturday, supporting U.S. business hours.
