Role purpose:
The Loss Reduction Project Manager is responsible for supporting the achievement of the project’s objectives and delivering agreed project outcomes.
The role focuses on planning, coordinating and implementing loss reduction initiatives, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration, monitoring project progress, and providing management with relevant analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
Key responsibilities:
Project Planning & Implementation
- Define project objectives, expected outcomes, key activities and implementation requirements;
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including activities, timelines, milestones and required resources;
- Coordinate the implementation of project initiatives and ensure timely execution of agreed actions;
- Identify the employees and functional teams required for project implementation and coordinate their involvement;
- Monitor project progress against agreed objectives and timelines;
- Identify deviations from the project plan and propose appropriate corrective actions for management approval;
- Prepare business plans, calculations, methodologies and other supporting materials required for successful project implementation.
Loss Reduction Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, process, structure and maintain information required for project implementation and performance assessment;
- Conduct analytical work to support the identification and resolution of loss-related and operational issues;
- Prepare regular and ad hoc analytical reports based on management requirements;
- Develop calculations and recommendations aimed at supporting project objectives and improving project results;
- Maintain accurate project information and ensure timely reporting on project status, results and key issues;
- Provide analytical support to relevant functions when required.
Financial & Business Planning
- Participate in project budgeting and monitor relevant financial indicators;
- Organize and maintain appropriate financial and analytical records related to the project;
- Prepare business cases, calculations and supporting documentation required for project implementation;
- Support the preparation and coordination of documentation related to suppliers and contractors where applicable.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Management
- Coordinate day-to-day interaction with relevant departments involved in project activities;
- Engage appropriate internal functions and subject-matter experts to support achievement of project objectives;
- Conduct business discussions and negotiations with internal and external stakeholders;
- Organize regular project status meetings with management;
- Prepare presentations, analytical materials and project updates for management review;
- Ensure effective communication and alignment between stakeholders throughout project implementation.
Project Governance
- Ensure assigned project objectives and individual performance targets are delivered within agreed timelines;
- Maintain complete and accurate project documentation;
- Ensure management instructions and agreed project decisions are implemented in a timely manner;
- Maintain confidentiality of commercially sensitive information;
- Follow Company policies, internal procedures and applicable management system requirements.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- University degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, Business Administration;
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in project management, operational efficiency, audit, internal control, loss prevention or a related area;
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and principles;
- Understanding of business processes and operational performance analysis;
- Knowledge of audit methodologies, internal audit procedures and internal controls would be an advantage;
- Understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles would be an advantage;
- Advanced user of MS Office, particularly Excel;
- Experience in collecting, structuring and analyzing large amounts of information.
