Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor the international transportation of goods, materials, equipment, and other cargo.
- Organize shipments from suppliers to project sites, warehouses, and other designated locations.
- Coordinate transportation by road, sea, air, and multimodal routes depending on project requirements.
- Monitor cargo movement from the point of origin to the final destination.
- Track shipment status, estimated arrival dates, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, suppliers, customs brokers, warehouses, and other logistics partners.
- Prepare and verify shipping and transportation documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other required documents.
- Coordinate customs clearance processes and provide the necessary documentation to customs brokers and relevant parties.
- Monitor compliance with international transportation and import/export requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment in accordance with project schedules.
- Identify and resolve transportation delays, documentation issues, customs problems, and other logistics-related issues.
- Monitor logistics costs and transportation expenses and assist with cost optimization.
- Obtain and compare transportation quotations and coordinate logistics service providers.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery documentation, and logistics activities.
- Prepare regular logistics and shipment status reports for management.
- Coordinate closely with Procurement, Contracts, Finance, Warehouse, Project, and other relevant departments.
- Monitor the condition and quantity of cargo during transportation and support the resolution of any discrepancies or damages.
- Maintain effective communication with international suppliers, logistics providers, and other counterparties.
- Perform other logistics-related tasks assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in logistics, international transportation, freight forwarding, or supply chain.
- Practical experience in coordinating international shipments of goods, materials, and equipment.
- Good understanding of international transportation processes and logistics documentation.
- Knowledge of import/export and customs clearance procedures.
- Experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and logistics service providers.
- Understanding of Incoterms and international trade terms.
- Ability to track shipments and manage multiple deliveries simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English and Russian; knowledge of Kazakh is an advantage.
