The Financial Reporting & Tax Manager will be responsible for the preparation of separate, consolidated, and combined financial statements in accordance with IFRS, ensuring tax compliance, supporting external audits, and enhancing financial reporting processes and internal controls across AIFC entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual and interim separate, consolidated, and combined financial statements in accordance with IFRS and internal policies.
- Coordinate financial reporting processes and ensure timely submission of financial data from subsidiaries and affiliated entities.
- Maintain and enhance accounting policies, reporting methodologies, and financial reporting procedures.
- Perform complex accounting calculations, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries in compliance with IFRS.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Coordinate intragroup reconciliations and consolidation processes.
- Develop and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting and accounting processes.
- Prepare reports, analyses, and supporting materials for management, Audit & Risk Committee, and Board of Directors meetings.
- Coordinate annual external audits and act as the primary contact for auditors.
- Monitor and facilitate timely resolution of audit findings and recommendations.
- Prepare and review Corporate Income Tax filings, including CIT Form 100.00, and maintain relevant tax registers.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external advisors on tax compliance matters.
- Support liquidity monitoring and financial analysis related to temporary cash placements.
- Stay current with IFRS, accounting regulations, and tax legislation, recommending improvements where necessary.
- Provide financial reporting support and perform other duties assigned by the Chief Accountant.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, DipIFR, CPA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, audit, or public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial statement preparation.
- Solid understanding of Kazakhstan accounting, taxation, and reporting legislation.
- Experience with consolidation and group reporting processes is an advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Fluency in English, Russian, and Kazakh.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
