Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality control and inspection activities for piping fabrication, installation, welding, and related works in accordance with approved project specifications, drawings, procedures, and applicable codes and standards.

  • Conduct visual inspections of piping welds and monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with approved WPS, PQR, and project requirements.

  • Verify welder qualifications and ensure that welding activities are performed by properly qualified personnel.

  • Coordinate and monitor Non-Destructive Examination (NDE/NDT) activities.

  • Review and verify piping inspection and testing documentation, including inspection reports, NDE reports, welding records, and test packages.

  • Conduct inspections in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Control Procedures.

  • Monitor piping installation activities and verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant international standards.

  • Inspect piping materials and components upon receipt and verify material certificates, identification, traceability, and compliance with project requirements.

  • Monitor and witness hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing, flushing, and other piping testing activities as required.

  • Identify non-conformities, prepare and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and verify implementation of corrective actions.

  • Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, NDE personnel, clients, and third-party inspectors regarding QA/QC and inspection activities.

  • Maintain accurate QA/QC records and ensure that all required inspection documentation is properly completed and submitted.

  • Participate in final inspections, punch list activities, system completion, and handover documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in piping welding inspection and quality control, preferably on power plant, energy, or similar industrial construction projects.

  • Valid welding inspection certification such as AWS CWI, CSWIP, or equivalent.

  • NDE/NDT certification in Radiographic Testing (RT) Level II or above. Additional NDE certifications will be considered an advantage.

  • Good knowledge of piping fabrication, installation, welding processes, welding inspection, and quality control procedures.

  • Familiarity with applicable international codes and standards such as ASME, AWS, API, and relevant project specifications.

  • Ability to read and interpret piping drawings, isometric drawings, P&IDs, welding documentation, WPS/PQR, and inspection documentation.

  • Knowledge of QA/QC documentation, ITPs, NCRs, inspection reports, material traceability, and test packages.

  • Good communication and coordination skills with construction teams, subcontractors, clients, and inspectors.

  • Proficient spoken English; ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural project environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues.

Working Conditions:

  • Company transportation within the city;

  • Work schedule: 6/1 (2 Saturdays per month are working days and 2 Saturdays are days off);

  • Meal and transportation expenses are covered separately;
