The company is being built from the ground up. We are looking for a specialist to prepare, edit and manage the operational documentation of the Flight Operations Department, including the Operations Manual (OM-A).
Responsibilities
- Prepare, edit and update the Operations Manual (OM-A, OM-B, OM-C, OM-D) and other Flight Operations documents
- Develop procedures, instructions, checklists and other operational documents in accordance with the Aviation Rules of the Republic of Kazakhstan and ICAO standards
- Ensure documentation complies with the company's documentation procedures before publication
- Manage the document lifecycle and coordinate updates across departments
- Prepare Flight Operations documentation for operator certification (AOC) together with department heads
- Collect and structure information from Flight Operations specialists and related departments, and coordinate document texts for approval
- Ensure a consistent style and structure across documentation, and control terminology and consistency between documents
- Maintain version control, revision records and the list of effective document revisions
- Prepare documents for interaction with the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the RK
- Monitor changes in the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and ICAO requirements, and prepare amendments to documentation accordingly
- Liaise with the Quality Assurance, Safety Management (SMS) and other departments on documentation matters
Qualification Requirements
- Higher education (aviation, engineering, technical writing, or linguistics with relevant professional experience)
- At least 3 years of work experience in civil aviation — mandatory
- Experience in preparing, editing or updating aviation documentation (manuals, procedures, instructions, checklists)
- Experience in managing document lifecycle and coordinating updates across departments
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the Operations Manual (OM) and the Aviation Rules of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- Understanding of flight operations processes: flight operations, crew training, flight dispatch support
- Skills in structuring technical information and managing document changes
- Confident user of MS Office (Word, Excel); experience with document management systems
- Kazakh and Russian — fluent
- English — B2 or higher (work with aircraft manufacturers' documentation and international standards); C1 will be an advantage
- Knowledge of applicable ICAO Annexes (in particular, Annex 6) will be an advantage
- Experience in a cargo airline and in preparing documents for AOC certification will be an advantage
- Experience in start-up companies and preparing documents from scratch will be an advantage
